A unique building dating back to the sixties we are located on 209 Lake street. This building has always been an accommodation house.

This building is not only unique, it’s located very conveniently close to the City.The location and the price is the main attraction to travellers coming to Cairns. Since 2004 Castle has been given a new lease of life as the best budget accommodation. Castles location suits the budget traveller providing the space and privacy without having to over spend.

There are rooms from share facilities to fully self contained apartments.Rooms consist of all basic needs. We also provide a very personalized service. All customers are picked up from the airport, bus stand or railway staion on arrival and drop them back too. Wireless internet is free and could help you with your tour booking.
For the locals we are located in between the two major hospital and next door to the specialist clinic. For anyone coming to Cairns from the outskirts, the Castle can provide the one night stay that will take the pressure of your travel time.

Weekly accommodation rates can always be negotiated and are seasonal. Party animals this place is not for you. Cecil runs a fairly tight ship and has a few house rules which results in a spotlessly clean, very quiet haven for travellers to relax.
